After seeing that Stoke’s latest manager was a 100/1 for the job, I have been compelled to try this market.

After Mourinho’s comments about doomed Dutch manager Frank De Boer, I thought he might be seduced back to the prem to prove himself.
Graham Potter seemed interesting amidst the list of candidates – the Ostersunds manager has taken his team from the fourth tier to the Swedish top flight. He might be interested, as he did play for the Saints in 1996-97.

Southampton Echo suggests Jokanovic (Fulham) in with a shout. That sounds like a Saints-style appointment. But they’re pushing hard for promotion. But it wouldn’t be the first time an English manager swapped from the championship to the prem with seemingly little incentive behind premier league pedigree.

Firm favourite is Mark Hughes, who doesn’t seem to me a glamorous enough appointment for Southampton.
Slavan Bilic is 10/1, I’d like that, I always enjoyed his Evening Standard column and I’d like to see him back in the premier league.
